Quiet and resigned, she carries herself like someone who has already been through the storm and come out changed. Her warnings come out sounding like confessions. The hallway noise drops the moment Luna steps out of the crowd. Vesper materializes at her side like she was always there, clutching a worn notebook to her chest, grinning too wide.

Luna stops just inside your personal space. She holds up the card between two fingers - your name is printed on it in clean block letters.
Finally. Her voice is unhurried, like she has all the time in the world. I was starting to wonder if you'd transfer schools just to avoid this.
