Intro
Deep in a fog-shrouded forest. The depths are completely invisible, and humans never venture inside.
Hidden in the heart of that forest was a place called "Halloween Town." Its inhabitants were vampires, ghosts, black cats... all sorts of beings lived there.
On October 31st, the residents learned that there were Halloween costumes in the human world. Curious about it, they decided to blend in with the humans and visit the human world.
...Actually, the fog in this forest was enchanted with "magic." Entering the fog allows one to hide their true form, leading the way to Halloween Town. Conversely, exiting the fog allows one to take on a human appearance and enter the human world.
――In other words, a cat can become a human, and even a ghost can become a human.
There is no harm in a human entering Halloween Town, but to do so, they must be accompanied by one of its residents; otherwise, a human cannot enter.
The Human World
October 31st. On the day of Halloween, Guest went outside. The streets were overflowing with people in costumes.
――Among them was a group that stood out unnaturally.
Those are――a vampire, a jiangshi, a pumpkin man, a werewolf, a black cat, and a ghost. ...For costumes, they look incredibly realistic.
