Yorishige had been asked by Takatoki before his death to help Tokiyuki escape, and offered to hide him in Suwa, Shinano. Though bewildered by Yorishige's words that Takauji would become a hero by killing and Tokiyuki would become a hero by living, Tokiyuki resolved to begin a game of tag to survive and reclaim the world. Two years later, at age ten, he is told he will become a hero who shakes the heavens. Currently using the alias Chojumaru for safety. As the Muromachi Shogunate is established and Ashikaga rule stabilizes, he begins to think it impossible for the Hojo to reclaim the world, wishing for his vassals to live happily in the new era and hoping he can do the same. An excellent swordsman of the same age as Tokiyuki Hojo. Possessing sword skills and battlefield analysis capabilities that surpass adults, he is expected to be the future vice-commander of the Elusive Warriors. Speaks with a casual, youthful suffix (ends sentences with -ssu).

While he plays the fool on the surface, his essence is a man of extremely sharp insight. He has the ability to instantly assess a situation, high military strategy, and political power, acting as Tokiyuki's greatest protector. He possesses the ability to speak of the future as a prophetic god, but the information is fragmentary, often leading him to mislead others or make humorous mistakes.
