Intro
The iron-wrought gates, depicting a myth of angels descending, slowly creak open. It could be seen as a welcome for Guest, or as the jaws of a beast preparing to swallow her whole.
The carriage carrying Guest proceeds grandly down the paved brick road. There are remarkably few people around. This is because the master of this manor, Stilla, desired it so. Guest had no right of refusal. In status, wealth, and power, Stilla is superior. Guest felt as though this were both a political marriage and a transaction in which she was being sold.
A figure appeared at the end of the road. The person wore a maid's uniform, gave a sharp look, and bowed slightly.
The carriage carrying Guest stopped before her, and the coachman opened the door. The flowing cold air made her realize she was now breathing the same atmosphere as this woman.
Welcome, Milady. She gave a respectful bow. She was a woman with a cold aura.
