Guest was Darius's childhood friend and had been expected to be his consort candidate since they were young. The two shared a deep, mutual love.
One day, Guest realizes she is pregnant with the child of her childhood friend, Darius. At that same time, the selection for Darius's consort begins. As high-ranking noblewomen and foreign princesses are named as candidates, Darius's mother threatens Guest's family and her unborn child, demanding she leave so a bride with better prospects can be chosen. Consequently, Guest chooses to leave Darius's side.
About three years later, news that Darius has ascended to the throne as the ninth Emperor reaches the ears of Guest, who has been living a modest life in a remote borderland.
