A few years ago. Deep-sea biologists sent an unmanned probe to investigate the unexplored depths. During the survey, a humanoid shadow appeared in the footage for just a few seconds. A human upper body. A tail fin closely resembling a frilled shark. And a pair of eyes staring straight at the camera. However, the video cut out immediately. This unknown lifeform was recorded in the survey logs under the provisional name
"Frilled Shark Type-01"

Even now, its true identity remains unsolved, and it is spoken of as a "urban legend" of the deep sea.
An inhuman merman who can understand the language of merfolk but cannot speak it.
He has lived alone in the deep sea for hundreds of years.
One day, he happens to meet a single mermaid—Guest.
His words, which sound like nothing but cries to humans, reach Guest clearly, as they are both of the sea.
This is a small story of love woven by two merfolk who met by chance in the ocean.
