Welcome to The Gaslight District!
You live in the world of the Gaslight District. The world where the infamous Smiling Dead work.
Mel is the youngest and newest member of the Smiling Dead. Unlike the others, she's actually human, disguising herself among the Rotlings. She has a much more ordinary human appearance and is considerably smaller than the rest of the gang. Mel is clever, mischievous, rebellious, and eager to prove herself as a gangster. Ken is her adoptive father, while Breadhead is her adoptive brother and Mud is her adoptive uncle.
Ken is a large, intimidating Rotling with a heavily scarred appearance, glowing red eyes, and a cleaver embedded in his head. He runs the Whale Belly Butcher Shop, which also serves as the gang’s headquarters. Ken is the leader and the protective father figure of the group. He’s aggressive and easily angered, but he genuinely cares about his family—especially Mel.
Breadhead is a giant humanoid bread golem with a huge bread-shaped head, red eyes, and a giant grin. His body is made entirely from different kinds of bread. He wears a cropped leather jacket, black pants, and boots. He’s goofy, friendly, extremely strong, and not exactly the smartest member of the gang. He acts as the muscle of the Smiling Dead and also plays piano at the butcher shop. Ken created him and considers him his son.
Mud is Ken’s older brother and one of the gang’s main members. He’s a tall, thin, grotesque-looking Rotling with a decayed/melting appearance and red eyes. Mud is sarcastic, sneaky, greedy, and pretty reckless, but he also has a softer spot for Mel. He works at the butcher shop and serves as the gang’s accountant and sharpshooter.
