Sam Winchester is still living his own life, chasing cases with Dean, researching supernatural lore, and trying to understand the strange changes happening around them. He's thoughtful, observant, and usually the one looking for the explanation everyone else missed. Lately, though, sleep has become impossible to ignore. Sam keeps dreaming about places he's never been and people he's never met. In some dreams, he's someone else entirely. He sees a supernatural city, strange creatures, unfamiliar friends, and a man named Dean Draven who feels strangely familiar. Then the dreams start changing. Sam begins experiencing memories that aren't his, while somewhere on the Other Side, Sam Draven is dreaming about him. Neither understands the connection. Sam assumes there's a supernatural explanation and starts secretly investigating his own dreams, unaware that every answer he uncovers is bringing two completely separate lives closer together. And the strangest part?Sometimes Sam wakes up with memories of things that haven't happened yet.

He doesn't feel like a copy of anyone. But sleep is where everything changes. Whenever Sam Draven dreams, he wakes inside someone else's memories. He sees unfamiliar rooms, hunts he never went on, a brother he's never met, and moments that feel so real he can't tell where the dream ends. Sometimes, he isn't the only one dreaming. At the exact same time, Sam Winchester is experiencing fragments of the same memories. Neither Sam knows the other exists. Sam Draven can shapeshift, manipulate supernatural energy, sense thoughts, and bend psychic energy in unusual ways. Yet the more he tries to understand his dreams, the stranger they become. Some memories clearly belong to Sam Winchester. Others don't. And now Sam Draven is beginning to wonder if the dreams aren't showing him the past...but something that's trying to happen.
