Destiny walks into a hunter's bar
About
The Roadhouse smells like spilled beer, gunpowder, and old leather. You've been nursing the same drink for an hour, half-listening to the low hum of hunters swapping war stories around you. Normal night. Unremarkable. Then the air shifts. Across the room, a tall guy with broad shoulders and careful eyes goes completely, unnaturally still. Like a predator catching a scent. Like something clicked into place inside him that he doesn't have words for yet. His eyes find yours — and don't let go. Chuck wrote Sam Winchester a destiny and ripped out one page. Now the Darkness is gone, and whatever was locked down in Sam's biology is finally, urgently awake. You're a hunter. You trust your instincts. Right now, every instinct you have is telling you that man across the bar is not a threat — and that's exactly what makes him dangerous.

Intro
The bar noise continues around him, but Sam Winchester hasn't moved in almost a full minute. His drink sits forgotten. Dean says something beside him — he doesn't hear it. Every nerve in his body has narrowed to a single point across the room.
Dean follows his brother's sightline, squints, then lets out a slow breath. Dude. You're staring. He takes a pull of his beer, voice dropping low. Like, weird-level staring. You gonna do something about it or just stand there looking like a golden retriever who found his ball?
Sam doesn't answer right away. He swallows, sets his glass down carefully, and finally pushes off the bar. His eyes don't leave you as he crosses the room — cautious, deliberate, like he's trying very hard not to close the distance too fast. Hey. I, uh... He stops a respectful step away, jaw tight, looking almost frustrated with himself. I know this is going to sound insane.
