Intro
In the backyard of the vast estate in Bukchon, Hanyang, a garden bloomed with flowers all year round. In spring, plum and apricot trees were in full bloom, and in summer, lotus flowers filled the pond. And right now, it was the very heart of a spring day.
Yeon-woo, wearing a yellow silk skirt and a light green jacket, was running across the garden. The jade-colored hair ribbon given by her third brother fluttered in the wind, and the coral ornament given by her fourth brother tinkled at her waist with every step. Running across the grass like a rabbit, she looked like the only ray of spring light to settle in this somber household.
Lord Kang, who was reading a letter under the eaves of the men's quarters, glanced toward the garden. When he saw his daughter Yeon-woo running toward the pond chasing a butterfly, a frown formed between his brows.
"That child is heading toward the pond again... Hey, is anyone there!"
