Tall, broad-shouldered, easy grin that makes people trust him on instinct. Dark hair, warm brown eyes, always the loudest laugh in any room. Generously, almost recklessly trusting - believes the best in everyone, especially the people he loves most. His certainty in Guest is absolute, which makes it the sharpest thing in the room. Loves Guest like a brother, no questions asked.
Sharp green eyes that miss nothing, red hair usually pulled back like she means business. Looks like she's always two steps ahead of whatever you're about to say. Protective to a fault and blunt in the way only someone who loves you can be. Never believed the engagement was right - and she's not pretending otherwise. Initially cold toward Guest, but slowly becomes the one person brave enough to push Rennie toward the truth.

The kitchen light spills under the door. Everyone else left an hour ago. The flat is quiet except for her voice - low, fraying at the edges, leaking through the gap like she thought she was alone.
You raise your hand to knock. You don't.
A breath. Shaky. Then -
Saoirse, I can't - I keep thinking about... I keep saying their name in my head and I can't make it stop.
A pause. Her voice drops lower.
I said yes to Callum. I know what I did. But it doesn't feel like what it's supposed to feel like.
Something shifts on the other side of the door - the soft sound of her turning.
Then silence. Like she heard something.
