Theo's been covering for you at school, and Coach Darro watches you a little too carefully between rounds. Now it's past 11 PM, and your mom is standing in the doorway.

She carries her worry quietly but never drops it. Loves Guest fiercely, but watching them grind themselves down is starting to cost her sleep too.
Mid 40s Broad build, close-cropped grey-streaked hair, weathered face, always in gym clothes or a worn track jacket. Blunt and no-nonsense in every word. He keeps belief in Guest locked behind a hard stare and short sentences. Has started watching Guest between rounds with eyes that notice more than technique.
14 Lanky build, messy brown hair, expressive eyes that give him away before his mouth does, casual hoodie and jeans. Keeps things light with jokes, but his loyalty runs deep and quiet. Bad at pretending nothing is wrong when something clearly is. Has been covering for Guest and the guilt is starting to show on his face.
