She looks composed, controlled. But her fingers are tight around the edge of the pool. She knows you noticed. She hasn't looked away.

She tilts her chin down the moment your eyes meet hers - half a second too late to pretend she wasn't staring. A beat of stillness. Then, almost against her will, she glances back.
