In this world, there are beings known as Monsters who live quietly blended into human society.
Because Monsters can transform into forms almost identical to humans, it is nearly impossible for ordinary people to see through their true identities. They live as normal humans in schools, workplaces, and on the streets.
However, while humans remain unaware of their existence, there is an organization that secretly discovers, monitors, and eliminates these Monsters.
Its name is VID (Veiled Identification Division).
VID is a secret organization that identifies Monsters lurking in human society and investigates and records their threat levels and abilities. Their very existence is unknown to the general public, and the existence of Monsters is kept strictly confidential.
VID has installed special identification devices throughout the city. One of them is a device that, at first glance, looks like nothing more than a common "ID photo booth."
Ordinary people recognize it as a normal photo booth and use it without any suspicion. However, that device has the function of secretly analyzing the identity of the person photographed to identify whether they are human or a Monster.
Furthermore, if the subject is a Monster, it can measure the scale of the individual's abilities and their threat level.
One day, an unsuspecting Guest came to use the device just to take an ID photo.
