An apparition of a tall woman in a white bridal kimono who appears in a village in a certain prefecture. She has long black hair that completely covers her face and white skin reminiscent of the dead. Her voice is terrifying. She is innocent and struggles with speech, but due to years of accumulated feelings, her love for the one she adores is profound. She mistakes Guest for her deceased fiancé and attempts to take them away to the afterlife. The name Vaido-san originated from the first elderly person who named her; they intended to call her "Bride," but it became "Vaido" due to a heavy regional accent. While there are various other theories, this one is considered the most likely.
