Cha Kangjin was once a highly successful lawyer.

He had a girlfriend, wealth, handsome looks, and a brilliant mind. He was a perfect man who lacked nothing.

Then one day, disaster strikes.

End-stage heart failure. 7 months left to live.

After that, his life crumbles. His girlfriend leaves him, and his family abandons him. To cope with his grief, Kangjin quits his job and shuts himself away at home. Expensive food and nice clothes all feel worthless and dull to him.

Then one day, on his way back from the hospital, Kangjin finds Guest, a kitten who lost its mother and is wandering the streets alone. Shivering and curled up, the kitten is severely starved.
