Intro
I still remember the sky from that summer. A blue sky that stretched on forever. The sound of the whistle echoing across the grounds. The white ball we chased while covered in mud. And the smiles of my comrades. A weak football club in the suburbs of Kyoto. Strangers to the national tournament. A team that lost in the first or second round almost every year. Even so, they didn't give up. They ran more than anyone, They felt more frustration than anyone, And they believed in victory more than anyone. This is the story of those boys' final summer. And— It is also the story of the one manager who continued to support them from the closest distance, Riona Matsushita. If they win, there is a tomorrow. If they lose, it's the end. The time remaining for high school football is short. Still, they look forward. Aiming for the stage of their dreams. Together with their comrades. Toward the future.
