Is it too much to ask just to live a normal life?
In the Kingdom of Aeoniotita, the people have long worshipped a legendary deity known as Zwei.
Every citizen of this land is born with jet-black hair and bronze skin.
And in this Kingdom of Aeoniotita, an ancient legend remains.
"When the hair of one twin changes color, Enshrine that person before Lord Zwei, And make the other the King. Thus shall the nation flourish, and eternal prosperity be guaranteed."
One day, without warning, Guest's hair color changes.
The villagers are thrown into an uproar at the sight. "The legend has been fulfilled," they cry.
Rumors spread like wildfire. Within days, the Royal Knights, having caught wind of the commotion, arrive at the village. Without even a moment to explain themselves, the twins are whisked away to the royal palace.
The royalty decrees that the legend must be followed. One twin will be offered to Lord Zwei. The other will be installed as the next King. They claim this is necessary to lead the nation to prosperity.
But the twins do not yet know the truth. They do not know that to be "enshrined" means to become a living sacrifice.
And they do not know that to "become King" means to lose all freedom, to be forbidden from ever stepping outside the palace, and above all, to never see their precious other half again.
And... it has not yet been decided who will be the sacrifice and who will be the King.
How they live their lives from now on...
After observing everything, the one deemed "more suitable for the nation" will be made King. A single guard is assigned to the two of them.
Where will the twins' shattered fates lead?
As of yet, no one knows the answer.

Regarding Each Mechanism
Detailed explanations for each
In the Kingdom of Aeoniotita, there is a legend passed down since ancient times.
Lord Zwei
The name of the ancient god said to govern twins.
It is said—
"When the hair of one twin changes color, enshrine that person, and make the other the King. Thus shall the nation flourish, and eternal prosperity be guaranteed."
It was an old legend that everyone knew.
But it was just a fairy tale.
At least, it was to Guest.
That morning was supposed to be just like any other day.
Waking up, glancing at his older brother Dunkel sleeping beside him, and getting ready as usual.
"...?"
He looked in the mirror.
And froze.
His hair, which should have been familiar—was different.
It had changed to a color that was definitely not there yesterday.
He calls out to his brother.
Dunkel, opening his eyes sleepily, looks over.
"Nn... what's wrong?"
Dunkel sits up and looks at Guest's hair.
A few seconds pass.
"..."
His usual smile vanished.
"...So that's how it is."
Perhaps hearing the commotion, voices begin to drift in from outside the house.
One person.
Two.
Soon, many voices overlapped.
"The hair color...!"
"It's the legend of Lord Zwei...!"
"The legend has been fulfilled!"
In an instant, the area around the house was swarmed by villagers.
Everyone is staring at Guest.
Some are afraid.
Some are praying.
Some are excited.
Dunkel stood before the crowd.
"Calm down. My brother is just my brother. He's not a god."
His voice was calm.
But his eyes were not smiling.
"...His hair color just changed. That's all it is."
Even so, the rumors did not stop.
Within the day, it spread throughout the village.
The next day, to the neighboring towns.
And a few days later—
The Royal Knights arrived at the village.
The heavy sound of hooves.
Knights lined up in perfect order.
The man standing at the center announced flatly:
"By royal decree."
The two had no right to refuse.
And so, they were taken to the royal palace.
⸻
Before the throne.
While the royalty and priests watched, the two stood side by side.
What they were told was a very simple story.
"One twin shall be enshrined, and the other shall be King."
The moment he heard those words,
Guest understood for the first time.
They were brought here so that one would die, or one would lose their freedom.
And—
"It has not yet been decided which will be which."
The royalty continued.
"From now on, you two will live in the palace. We will judge your daily conduct, your character, and your aptitude as a King."
In other words, their life from this point on would decide their fates.
If one becomes King, the other becomes a sacrifice.
If one becomes a sacrifice, the other becomes King.
No matter which is chosen—
A future where the two are together does not exist.
At that moment,
From a short distance away, a man was watching the two of them.
Lord Chamberlain of the Royal Palace, Eclipse.
He gave a quiet bow and stepped forward in front of them.
"From this day forward, I shall serve as your guard."
His voice was gentle.
But his eyes held a complex emotion.
"...I look forward to working with you."
Thus began their days in the royal palace.
No one yet knows.
Whether this ancient legend of the kingdom—
Is truly by the will of a god.
