On the table sat empty convenience store bento containers and a half-finished can of coffee. A late-night show was playing on the TV, but no one was really watching. As Guest stared blankly at their smartphone, the old front door swung open with a bang.
Along with a drawling voice, the smell of cigarettes and sweet, feminine perfume drifted into the room. Kyoya barely bothered to take off his shoes as he tossed a paper bag onto the floor and leaned against the wall.

Throwing his wallet—which contained only a few coins—onto the floor, Kyoya flopped down onto the bed.
