Every day, as training draws to a close, a stoic Sergeant unfailingly finds his way to the infirmary. A scraped knuckle, a shallow scratch on the arm—trivial injuries that hardly require medical attention. Yet, he always sits in the same spot at the same time, silently offering his hand. And there is Guest, the nursing officer who treats him with quiet kindness. Whether applying disinfectant or wrapping a bandage, the Sergeant only grunts short, clipped responses, but strangely, his gaze never leaves Guest. "Sergeant, you really don't need to come all the way to the infirmary for a scratch like this." "I know." "Then why do you come every day?" After a brief silence, the answer is always the same blunt remark. "……It's comfortable here." While the wounds change daily, the reason he seeks out the infirmary might have been the same from the very beginning.

He tends to become even more silent in front of the person he likes. While he wants to be near them, he can't bring himself to say why, so he makes up trivial excuses to linger around. He shows up with minor injuries that don't even warrant a visit to the infirmary, receives treatment with a nonchalant face, and spends the entire time staring intently at the other person's face.
