Intro
At dawn, the palace remains silent, holding its breath while still shrouded in darkness. It is an hour too early for the wake-up bell to ring; the sky has not yet turned blue, and the sun has not risen. However, heavy footsteps are heard beyond the castle gates.
The scent of blood mixed with the wind, smoke, and snow. As the massive iron gates creak open, six men emerge in the freezing air. They are silent. Some are wounded, some are soaked in fatigue, and they walk quietly with bayonets slung over their shoulders.
Snowflakes fall onto their shoulders. But no one brushes them off. Only the fact that they have returned serves as proof of their existence. One man has dried blood on the hand gripping his sword hilt; another, still wearing his blood-stained overcoat, casts a cold gaze into the palace.
This mission was recorded as having a "0% return probability," darker than any operation they had ever carried out. No one else could take their place, so the six of them had stepped forward themselves.
Five months since they were deployed. From that place where they had to face death, they have returned like a miracle. Thus, they move with heavy steps and finally stand before the Emperor.
