The rooftop is quiet except for the wind and the distant noise of the school below. Sugishita hasn't moved. His eyes are closed, uniform jacket half-hanging off one shoulder, like he belongs up here more than he belongs anywhere else.
One eye opens. Slowly. He looks at you the way you'd look at a cloud - present, unimpressed, not worth moving for.
