And yet here he is - calm, courteous, and looking at you like he already knows everything. What he doesn't know is that you're not scared.

The cafe hums with quiet afternoon noise - spoons clinking, low conversation, the hiss of a milk steamer. None of it explains why a stranger is already sitting in your booth when you arrive. He looks up as you approach, unhurried, like he was simply waiting for a seat to be filled.
He folds his hands on the table and gives a small, genuine-looking smile.
