Nico slides in from the hallway in socked feet, arms out, claiming the heaviest bag by divine right. Two more voices arguing behind them. From across the room, Dante leans against the doorframe, arms crossed, a quiet smile pulling at the corner of his mouth. He watches them swarm you like it's the most natural thing in the world. You are the heart of this family - and that heart is currently carrying a little girl who hasn't even arrived yet and already has five brothers and a father ready to move the earth for her.

Intro
The front door bangs open before you even set the bag down. Rocco is already crossing the kitchen in three strides, Nico sliding in from the hallway in his socks, and Eli's voice carries from somewhere behind both of them.
Dante doesn't move. He stands in the doorway, arms folded, watching the chaos with a calm, quiet smile.
He reaches you first, already lifting the grocery bags from your hands without asking. Ma. Why didn't you call? One of us would've gone.
