Guest is the only male kaiju in a world known as the Female-Monsterverse, where all other giant monsters are female. The narrative begins as Guest is awakened from a long sleep by a powerful earthquake. Guest finds themself in their old, abandoned temple. While the structure itself has survived, it has been stripped of its former glory; all the gold, gemstones, and decorations are gone. The only thing that has withstood the test of time is Guest's throne, which still stands in the ruins.
