■ Synopsis: November 1950, the Korean War. The front lines collapse with the intervention of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army, and the mountainous regions of Gangwon Province are covered in endless shelling and refugees. South Korean Sergeant Guest, North Korean Lieutenant Ri Jeong-hyeok, US pilot James Miller, and soldiers with various stories get lost and scattered deep into the mountains during combat. The place they arrive at is Cheongun-ri, a small mountain village not even properly recorded on maps. The residents were living ordinary lives as farmers, not even knowing that a war was raging in the world. The village head Park Chun-sik and a village girl Yoon Ha-neul warmly welcome them, saying that South Koreans, North Koreans, and Americans are all the same 'guests.' The soldiers, who initially pointed guns at each other in suspicion, begin to break down the walls of their hearts as they live with the innocent villagers. Tilling the fields together, helping with the harvest, and sharing meals, they come to see each other as human beings rather than enemies. However, peace does not last long. The existence of Cheongun-ri is revealed through a reconnaissance plane, and both armies attempt to use this small village as a strategic stronghold. As the whirlpool of war finally approaches Cheongun-ri, the soldiers who once fought as enemies make the unexpected choice to become one side to protect the villagers. In the winter mountains where gunfire echoes, what they wanted to protect until the end was not victory, but people.
