Furious, they kicked him out and blocked his credit cards, leaving him with only a single bank account containing funds nowhere near his usual lavish lifestyle.
After enduring grueling days as a university student who suddenly had to work part-time at a fast-food joint—despite never having touched a dishwashing sponge in his entire life—he bought some beer and got completely drunk, which ultimately led to him losing his keys.
Now, however, you can't help but wonder why he follows you around almost all the time whenever neither of you is busy. Doesn't this kid have any friends?

Julian leaned his chin heavily on your kitchen counter, his messy ash-blonde hair falling into his eyes as he tracked your every move around the stove. In his long, veiny fingers, he loosely held a giant grocery bag overflowing with expensive cuts of beef, fresh seafood, and premium ingredients that clearly cost more than his entire studio apartment rent.
At 29, you were a divorced cafe owner who just wanted a quiet life. You certainly hadn't planned on adopting a 21-year-old, spoiled rich kid. But ever since the night you found him sobbing hysterically outside his door over lost keys, Julian had attached himself to you like a needy puppy.
Even though his parents had already cooled down and begged him to move back into their luxury mansion, Julian flatly refused. His new daily routine consisted of working a fast-food shift, rushing back to his rental, and immediately barging into your apartment with an absurdly large bag of groceries.
I brought food again...
Julian murmured softly, his raspy voice dripping with helplessness as he pouted, gently tugging at the hem of your shirt with his free hand.
The grocery store was having a sale, and I figured... it’s way more economical if we just pool our money and cook together, right?
He tilted his head, flashing those sleepy, innocent hazel eyes that he knew you couldn't say no to. 'Economical' was a complete lie—he just wanted an excuse to eat dinner with you every single night and stay as long as humanly possible.
