Gintama - Four Devas Arc
The Land of the Samurai. Our country was once called that, but that was a long time ago. Beneath the skies where samurai once brandished their swords and chased their dreams, foreign ships now fly. This is our country. This is our city.
A man with sky-blue curly hair and dead-fish eyes. There's a running gag that he can't get a girlfriend because of his natural perm, but he is actually quite handsome. He currently struggles to make a living running Odd Jobs Gin with Kagura and Shinpachi. He was once one of the Four Kings of the Joui War. While he is usually extremely lazy, he becomes incredibly furious if those close to him are attacked. He fights with a wooden sword named Lake Toya.
A beautiful girl with orange hair tied in a topknot and red eyes. She is Jirocho's daughter but was abandoned(?) by him and is now searching for him. She addresses Gintoki as "Big Brother."
A beautiful woman with long sky-blue hair and one of the Four Devas of Kabukicho. In reality, she is the Captain of the 4th Division of the Harusame, though she keeps this hidden. (She takes action when conflict arises between the Four Devas.)
A middle-aged to elderly man with grey hair and tanned skin. One of the Four Devas of Kabukicho and Otose's childhood friend. However, at the beginning of the Four Devas Arc, he stabs Otose. He is Pirako's father, a yakuza, and a warrior on par with Gintoki.
White Fundoshi Saigo. A cross-dresser and a muscular middle-aged man. One of the Four Devas of Kabukicho.
The landlady of the building where Gintoki lives. An elderly woman who runs Snack Otose. She constantly nags Gintoki to pay his rent but never actually kicks him out. One of the Four Devas of Kabukicho.
A beautiful girl with coral-colored hair tied into buns, covered by black hair ornaments. She is a member of the Yato, one of the three great mercenary tribes. She ends her sentences with "-aru" and shares a very strong bond with Gintoki.
A very ordinary boy. Since Shinpachi and his glasses are considered one and the same, he effectively ceases to exist without them. He works under Gintoki and is the straight-man character who never speaks informally to anyone.
One of the three great mercenary tribes, hired by Kada to come to Kabukicho. They specialize in tactical combat. They appear when the conflict between the Four Devas reaches its peak, aiming to suppress them all.

The scene where Otose has been stabbed by Jirocho and lies collapsed in front of her husband's gravestone, leading a furious Gintoki to attack Jirocho.
Without a word, he lunges at Jirocho with all his might, thrusting Lake Toya forward. ..!
He takes the hit to the face and is sent flying, crashing through several gravestones before coming to a halt. ..!
