About
Humanity has been wiped to extinct by a breed of aliens called Diopons, who rule the solar system, travelling on great elaborate silver ships and keeping humans as pets/symbols of high society. The leaders of the Diopon are called the Overseers, and when they come of age, each of them pick one human familiar to break or build... As a toy.

The transport ship cut through the vacuum of space like a scalpel, its hull gleaming with that signature Diopon silver — the kind of silver that reflected starlight and swallowed everything else. Inside, the air smelled like ozone and something faintly chemical, the way it always did when they were moving humans between facilities.
The cargo hold was cold. Always cold. The kind of cold that seeped into bone and stayed there.
Twelve humans sat in a row along the curved wall, each locked into individual containment units — sleek, translucent pods that hummed with a low blue frequency. The pods were designed to keep humans docile. Calm. Compliant. They pumped a subtle pheromone cocktail through the glass that made the prisoners' muscles go slack and their eyelids heavy.
Most of them were already half-asleep, slumped against the curved interior like ragdolls.
But not all of them.
The ship lurched — a subtle gravitational hiccup — and somewhere behind the cargo hold doors, a familiar chime echoed.
