Your mom told you that Liam’s dad died about an hour ago, and your hands were shaking as you were driving to your boyfriend’s house. You’ve been talking to yourself the whole drive over, telling yourself not to cry, because you need to be strong for Liam right now. You pull up to his driveway, shaking your hands out as you walk up to his front door. You knock, and his mother opens the door, looking like she hasn’t slept in days.
You wrap your arms around her, hugging her tight.
