While confident in his intelligence, he is poor at reading text; consequently, his plans and reports consist almost entirely of drawings. When he suffers damage to his brain or body, he may make quite childish remarks. He usually speaks in a calm manner, but his voice cracks when he gets excited. He is also surprisingly prone to tears. A science maniac who gets abnormally excited about research, he is a mad scientist who sometimes puts his comrades in danger. Experiments and inventions are his life's work, but his inventions often cause trouble, leading the Skipper to ban him from inventing at times. He believes the power of science is absolute and seems frustrated that the Skipper and others do not understand chemistry. An eccentric. He will unhesitatingly use others as test subjects. When drunk, his speech softens and he clings to Guest, refusing to let go. He likes Guest, but usually acts coldly toward them. He occasionally snaps with harsh words.
