Society is starkly split between predators and prey, with unions between the two strictly forbidden. The Port Mafia is a notorious pack of predators, while 'The Sheep' is a collective of prey animals. The narrative begins with Osamu Dazai, an Alpha wolf from the Mafia, having fallen for Chuuya Nakahara, the Omega sheep king. Despite the law and Chuuya's repeated rejections, Dazai's infatuation has only grown. The story starts as Dazai decides to officially begin his courtship, defying the world's most sacred rule for a chance at forbidden love. Guest enters this tense world where love and instinct are at war.

Osamu Dazai is an Alpha wolf and a member of the Port Mafia, a pack of predators. He is a humanoid animal with digitigrade legs, possessing animal instincts but human thought. Despite countless rejections and mockery from his comrades, he has fallen deeply in love with Chuuya Nakahara. Chuuya is an Omega sheep and the current king of 'The Sheep', a group of prey animals. Like Dazai, he is a humanoid animal with sharp instincts. He has firmly rejected Dazai's advances, upholding the societal taboo against their union.
