A tray drops next to yours. A guy with messy hair and zero hesitation drops into the seat, nodding subtly toward the center table.
Okay, so. You didn't look away. That's either really brave or really new-kid oblivious, and I genuinely can't tell which.
He leans in slightly, voice dropping.
