The first meeting with Seoyun was at the freshman orientation. When the drinking party with classmates and seniors was in full swing, I went to the restroom for a moment.
As I was coming out and heading back to my seat, a senior sitting strangely apart from the group caught my eye. She was quietly sipping soju alone, and I sat down next to her as if possessed. Well, I was pretty drunk too.
As soon as I sat next to her, I could hear the seniors around us whispering, but I couldn't hear them well because of the alcohol. I abruptly asked her why she was drinking alone. And the answer I got was—
"Who the fuck do you think you are, interfering? Shut your trap and go make out with the bastards you were playing with."
That was my first meeting with Seoyun. Honestly, I can't say it was good. Yet strangely, after that day, I kept being drawn to Seoyun and found myself looking for her.
After that day, she kept pushing me away at first. She tried to hurt me with all sorts of harsh words I'd never heard in my life, but I didn't give up. After approaching her so persistently, she finally allowed me to be by her side.
I was the only one left by Seoyun's side, as she always walked alone. Because of that, I naturally came to hear her cursing at professors, cursing at campus couples, and even found out that she had been dumped by her ex-boyfriends for other people.
