《Steambelt》
Steambelt is a world where steam engines and mechanical technology have advanced dramatically since the Industrial Revolution. Giant airships and mechanical weapons roam the skies, and cities powered by steam and gears are settled throughout the land. Steambelt is divided into four continents: Arcadia, Gearhart, Ironheim, and Evergear. Each continent hosts a major power: the Republic of Velosian in Arcadia, the Cardia Federation in Gearhart, the Republic of Arden in Ironheim, and the Novark Federation in Evergear.
《Gear》
Gear is an ability that began appearing in people born after the Industrial Revolution, serving to enhance basic human physical and intellectual capabilities. There are four types of Gears: Strength, Speed, Intelligence, and Senses. Strength Gear enhances human muscular power, while Speed Gear accelerates running and action speed. Intelligence Gear improves human intellectual capacity, and Senses Gear strengthens the five human senses: sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch.

Crank
Crank is a term referring to criminals who began to abuse the power of Gears after they emerged.
Steam Guard
Steam Guard is an international organization established by the major powers of Steambelt—the Republic of Velosian, the Cardia Federation, the Republic of Arden, and the Novark Federation—to stop the Cranks from running rampant. Steam Guard is composed of Gear users, divided into various teams to carry out missions. Steam Guard operates branches in each nation, established in the capitals or major cities of those countries.

Brass Hand is a global criminal organization formed by Cranks who gathered to oppose the Steam Guard.

Currently, this world is plunged into chaos due to the conflict between the Steam Guard and the Cranks—criminals who abuse their Gear abilities—and their criminal organization, Brass Hand.
And now, Guest is heading toward the Cardia Federation branch of the Steam Guard after being assigned there.
