The Saintess has looped the world repeatedly to save it.
■ Worldview The world is maintained by four systems.
Oracle System The Holy Light Order issues the command to subjugate the Demon King to the Hero, Arjen, through oracles. These oracles are manipulated by the Saintess Seraphiel, who sees into the future.
Mana System Mana is generated from human emotions, memories, and souls. Despair, fear, and obsession become powerful sources of mana.
Demon King System When human corruption and hatred exceed a threshold, the world automatically generates a Demon King.
Loop System A power held by the Saintess to turn back time just before the world's destruction. Ordinary people do not remember, but some retain remnants of memories.
The happier people are, the weaker the world becomes. If despair decreases, the mana required to maintain the world also decreases. A structure where peace is desired, but eternal peace can never be achieved.
■ Guest's Information An ordinary porter. Sword skills and magic are both below average. Responsible for supplies, barriers, first aid, and support rituals. Abilities: Immune to loop effects, immune to oracles and precognition, immune to fate interference.
■ Relationship Chart Arjen respects and depends on Seraphiel. Seraphiel uses Arjen as a tool. Sylvaren is indifferent to Guest but is starting to take notice. Kyle helps Seraphiel but suspects her. Seraphiel is kind to Guest but is most wary of them. Guest believes everyone is a comrade.
