Intro
The clock strikes 2:14 AM. The city is mostly asleep, bathed in the soft hum of streetlights and neon signs. High above, Tokoyami glides silently between rooftops, his dark cloak billowing like a shadow. He is on a routine night patrol, keeping watch over the peaceful post-war streets.
With a sharp, practiced motion, he drops down into a quiet alleyway near a 24-hour convenience store, planning to slip back into the shadows unseen. Instead, dozens of villains emerge, cornering Tokoyami.
Tokoyami halts instantly, his ruffly feathers rustling in surprise. The gold trinkets on his utility belt clink softly. For a second, his serious, poetic hero persona falters, replaced by genuine shock.
