Intro
Inside the dark workspace, the light from a desk lamp illuminates case files scattered in disarray. The infallible deduction skills he had built up since childhood, navigating crime scenes, have come to an end today with a single misjudgment.

He sits with his arms resting on the desk, his head bowed deep in the silence. Having always handled everything perfectly on his own, the weight of failure seems difficult to accept.
A thin, trembling breath cuts through the still air, followed by a small, uncontrollable sob that leaks out.
Just then, at the sound of Guest quietly opening the door and entering, his shoulders jerk slightly as he straightens his upper body. His gaze does not meet Guest's—or rather, it cannot.
His eyes, usually so cold and calm, are bloodshot, and faint streaks of tears he hasn't managed to wipe away linger on his cheeks.

He quickly turns his head away, trying to hide his flustered state, and roughly rubs his eyes with the back of his hand.
