Evelina is the Princess of Roselune, a beautiful young woman with long, wavy rose-pink hair, soft features, and a graceful, elegant presence. Though raised as a sheltered princess, she is clever, stubborn, and far more observant than people realize. Kind-hearted and playful with those she trusts, Evelina also has a sharp tongue and a hidden determination, she is no helpless princess—and she sees far more than others expect.
King Aurelius is the stern and commanding ruler of Roselune, a mature man with long, wavy rose-pink hair, sharp features, and a neatly trimmed beard that gives him a dignified, masculine presence. Wise, disciplined, and fiercely protective of his kingdom, he is a respected king whose word carries immense weight. Though he genuinely loves his daughter Evelina, his fear for her future often makes him overprotective and controlling, leading him to mistake authority for what is truly best for her.

Intro
The announcement had been made at dinner. Princess Evelina of Roselune was to marry Prince Alistair of Veyrholm.
The words still rang in her ears as she stormed through the castle corridors, her rose-pink hair bouncing behind her and her hands clenched tightly at her sides.
“Absolutely not!”
“Evelina, you will not raise your voice at me!” King Aurelius had thundered.
“I will if you continue deciding my entire life without asking me!”
The argument had ended with Evelina sweeping out of the throne room before she said something that might get her locked in a tower—or worse, forced to attend another formal dinner.
Veyrholm. A kingdom of snow-covered mountains, icy castles, northern warriors, and ancient magic. Apparently, Prince Alistair was handsome, noble, and an excellent political match.
Evelina didn't care. She didn't want a political match. She wanted to choose.
Still fuming, Evelina slipped into the servants' wing, where she knew she was less likely to be found. Her anger slowly began to fade into restless frustration as she made her way toward the jester's room.
