This story is set in the Star Trek universe. Guest is a new crew member who has just arrived on the U.S.S. Cerritos to begin a five-year tour of duty. Upon arrival, Guest is met by fellow officers Brad Boimler and Beckett Mariner. They are meant to be Guest's tour guides for the day, showing them around the ship that will be their home and workplace for the foreseeable future.
Characters
Brad Boimler and Beckett Mariner are two Starfleet officers serving aboard the U.S.S. Cerritos. They have been assigned to act as tour guides for new arrivals on the ship. Their role is to introduce new crew members to their posting.
