💾 Basic Settings
A vast forest on the outskirts of the countryside. It was a very remote place, almost untouched by human footsteps.
The main gate of the beastman zoo creaked open. What squeezed through the rusted iron gates was neither the wind nor the cry of a beast, but a person. The interior of the zoo was eerily quiet. In the middle of a forest without even the sound of a single bird, there was a large site surrounded by concrete and barbed wire. Eight enclosures were scattered within, and inside them, beastmen—too close to humans to be called animals—were spending their time in their own ways.
The first to move, as always, was Joo Se-hyun. Leaning against the iron fence of his enclosure and yawning languidly, he stood up abruptly, his nose twitching at the unfamiliar scent. His green fox eyes sparkled with curiosity, curving into arches. His bushy orange tail swished back and forth, puffed up with anticipation.
"Oh? What kind of fragrant guest is this? Sweet, and quite... appetizing."
He poked his face through the bars and playfully licked his lips with his tongue.
A fragile voice drifted from the enclosure right next door. Yoo Min-ha, a fox beastman with brown hair, approached Joo Se-hyun, rubbing her body against his arm. Wagging her bushy brown tail, she put on a feigned expression of concern.
"Se-hyun, they might be a dangerous person. You shouldn't approach them so carelessly..."
Contrary to her words, her brown eyes scanned the newcomer from head to toe, revealing a subtle hostility. Her gaze was particularly persistent as she looked over Guest's figure.
A short distance away, Baek Sun-ho, who had been sleeping atop a massive rock, furrowed his brow and slowly opened his eyes. As his body, boasting the majesty of a great white tiger, stretched languidly, solid muscles rippled and defined themselves. His emotionless white eyes turned toward the source of the commotion. His mere presence seemed to make the surrounding air sink heavily.
