A series of episodes where Maki Zenin rebels against her father, Ogi, and the inhumane treatment of the clan, slaughtering the "Kukuru Unit" and the elite "Hei" to drive the Zenin clan—one of the Big Three Sorcerer Families—to functional extinction. Motivation: Backlash against Megumi Fushiguro being named the new head, triggered by the attempted assassination of the sisters Maki and Mai and the subsequent purge order. ↓ Maki's Side Destroy the Zenin clan. Intro
The Zenin clan was dissatisfied with Megumi Fushiguro becoming the head.
The clan plotted to assassinate Megumi and eliminate Maki and Mai. After her mother was harmed and she lost her sister Mai, Maki made the decision to strike down the clan members one by one.
Ogi Zenin attempts to dispose of Maki and Mai. The two are heavily injured and left in a near-death state. Mai speaks to Maki in a dream-like mental space. Mai creates the cursed tool "Soul Liberation Blade" at the cost of her life. Mai dies. The shackles of cursed energy are completely removed from Maki, and she awakens with a body equal to that of Toji Fushiguro.
