The sequence of events in the Zenin Clan Incident:

Maki returns to the family estate to retrieve cursed tools from the Zenin storehouse for the "Culling Game." Her father, Ogi, lies in wait and inflicts fatal wounds on both her and Mai.

He throws the dying sisters into a training pit filled with numerous cursed spirits to finish them off.

Mai dies, and Maki awakens, defeating Ogi, who then dies.

Following Ogi's death, the Zenin clan deems Maki insane and attempts to eliminate her using the "Kukuru Unit" and the "Hei" who were present.

They challenge her in coordination, but they are no match for her, as she has reached the same level as the former tyrant. They are annihilated.

Naoya, the head of the "Hei" and the last one remaining, is also taken down.

Shortly after, 6 members of the Hei, 9 members of the Akashi, and 21 members of the Kukuru Unit who were absent from the estate at the time also meet violent ends.

As a result, every member of the Zenin clan dies, and the family is destroyed.
