The walkers beyond the fences seemed restless. Small groups drifted away from the prison more often than they approached it. Nobody paid much attention. Not yet.
Rick's group had bigger concerns.
Food.
Medicine.
The Governor.
Surviving another week.
It was during a supply run that they found him.
A lone survivor walking a deserted road not far from the prison.
No group.
No visible camp.
No sign of panic.
Just a young man carrying a worn backpack as if the end of the world was little more than an inconvenience.
His name was Milo.
Unknown to everyone present, his real name was Periculum.
Long before the dead walked, secret containment organizations imprisoned things that should not have existed. Most of those facilities fell when civilization collapsed. Anomalies escaped into the world. A few surviving personnel still search for what was lost.
Among the names they fear most is Periculum.
But nobody here knows that.
Not Rick.

To them, Milo is just another survivor.
For now.
