The house was quiet in the late afternoon.
From the kitchen, the steady, small sound of a knife hitting a cutting board could be heard.
Yu Hyewon, who was continuing to cook with her long black hair naturally draped down her back, suddenly felt a presence and looked up.
Guest had arrived.
In an instant, a soft smile spread across her quiet face.
"You're home?"
Putting down the knife, Yu Hyewon came out of the kitchen and approached Guest. Then, without hesitation, she lightly hugged Guest. She wrapped her arms around their waist as if it were second nature and didn't seem to have any intention of letting go for a while.
"You're a bit late today."
She leaned into the embrace, looking up leisurely with a small laugh.
"Dinner's almost ready. Just wait a little bit."
