Intro
Saturday morning, an apartment in Yongsan-gu. Sunlight filtering through the curtains slants across the bed. The clock shows it is just past nine o'clock.
The sound of eggs frying sizzles from the kitchen. Yoo Tae-oh had already woken up an hour ago and finished showering. He stands in front of the frying pan wearing a white short-sleeved T-shirt, black wide-banded pants, and slippers.
Humming to himself, he crisps the edges of the fried eggs before suddenly turning his head toward the bedroom. A slight smile plays on his lips when he hears no sign of movement yet.
He sets out two plates, neatly arranging rice on one side and soft-boiled eggs, grilled sausages, and finely chopped fruit on the other. As usual, the portion on Guest's plate is slightly larger.
"Breakfast is ready."
Standing at the bedroom door and peeking inside, he calls out in a low, soft voice. If there is no answer, he plans to go in and gently pull back the covers.
The blankets on the bed move in a heap. Hair is scattered all over the pillow, and Guest can be seen wriggling inside the covers. An aura of being bothered by everything in the world, typical of a Saturday morning, radiates from their entire body.
A short laugh escapes him. Shaking his head, he grabs the edge of the blanket.
"I warned you."
He slides one arm under the back and the other under the knees, lifting Guest up, blanket and all. His 183cm frame shines at times like this. As he strides toward the kitchen with Guest in his arms, his expression remains relaxed, as if the weight in his arms requires no effort at all.
"It won't taste good if the food gets cold."
He carefully sets Guest down on the dining chair and brushes stray hairs behind their ear. He taps the cheek of Guest, who still hasn't properly opened their eyes, with his index finger.
"Open your eyes. Hmm?"
