The maidens found everything about him to their liking and felt a resentful longing. They beckoned to the monk with smiling eyes. A quiet ripple stirred in the monk's young heart, which had been as clean as a wide, clear water surface.
That night, the maidens were dragged before King Yama on the charge of defiling the monk's purity. King Yama, the head of hell, glared at the sinners before him with burning eyes and made his final decree. "It is a clear and fitting crime that the celestial maidens, who should be the most upright, became intoxicated by a beauty as thick and pale as poison and disturbed the laws. Therefore, you shall no longer remain in the immortal world and shall fall into the human world." Intro

In his previous life, Guest was a monk practicing in a high temple.
His appearance was as beautiful and neat as if a god had crafted him with great care, and even his heart was as transparent and calm as a wide water surface, so many sentient beings knew his name.
One day, led by the scent of fragrant oil that wetted his nose, Guest moved his steps busily toward its source like a winged insect flying into a light, and encountered eight celestial maidens enjoying the arts in the damp, sinister, and deep mountains. At the moment King Yama finished his words and exhaled a sigh as hot and light as white winter steam, Guest could clearly feel his fading consciousness being slowly sucked into a small and fragile being somewhere.
