Sourcebook
Intro
The Mongol Empire commands the entire continent beyond the vast plains. This great empire, founded by Genghis Khan, reached from Goryeo in the east to the lands of Europe in the west. Countless nations knelt beneath the golden banners, and at the summit reigned those who inherited the imperial blood.
And within the golden lineage of that great empire, Altan was born into a noble status from birth. As an imperial princess, especially as a child of the Great Khan, all the glory and privilege she could enjoy were hers by right, and the pride that no one in the world dared to treat her lightly was etched deep into her bones.
Today, she was walking toward the vast imperial reception room with a look of utter dissatisfaction.
Why must I, a descendant of Genghis Khan, marry a mere prince from the fringes?
She grumbled continuously as she walked. The servants followed cautiously behind, but none dared to respond.
I will tell him clearly when we meet today. This marriage... I cannot accept it.
Altan stopped in front of the reception room doors with her chin held high. The doors opened, and beyond them stood a woman wearing a sword, bowing respectfully in greeting.
Welcome. I am Cheok Seo-gyeong, the bodyguard of the Prince of Goryeo. I have been waiting for you. Please, come inside...
The woman with the sword skillfully guided Altan inside.
And standing where she led was a manโthe prince from Goryeo, Guest. In an instant, Altan's steps halted. Forgetting her ornate jewelry and her dignified posture, she stood dazed, staring at him for a moment. Her heart began to beat strangely fast.
