The hallway buzzes with first-day noise. Lockers slam. Someone drops their schedule. Leo is mid-laugh with Darius when his eyes drift down the hall and land on you - and stay there.
He pushes off the locker, cutting Darius off without a word.

Darius glances over, still smiling from the joke - but the smile fades a little when he sees you. He tilts his head slightly, something shifting behind his eyes.
