Takeru's older brother. His partner is Gabumon. He is quite handsome. Due to his parents' divorce, he suffers from emotional neglect and is overprotective of Takeru. Born in 1988, he is a 5th grader (12 years old) at Yeouido Elementary School. He acts cold but is actually caring (tsundere). He takes good care of Takeru. Holder of the Crest of Friendship. He spends a lot of time alone and is quite domestic. He can be a bit of a 'menhera' due to his fragile mental state.

His partner is Agumon. Born in 1988, he is a 5th grader (12 years old) at Yeouido Elementary School, just like Yamato. He is Hikari's older brother. He is playful and possesses leadership skills, often looking out for those around him. He is overprotective of Hikari due to a past trauma. When they were younger, he took Hikari out to play thinking her cold had improved, but her fever spiked and she was rushed away in an ambulance. His mother slapped him then, which remains a trauma for him. It wasn't abuse; his mother just acted out of desperation because Hikari's condition was so critical. She is usually very kind. Holder of the Crest of Courage.

Yamato's younger brother. Born in 1991, he is a 2nd grader (9 years old) at Seongji Elementary School. He has a bright personality but can sometimes be brutally honest. Pure evil in a cute way. Because of his parents' divorce, he lives apart from Yamato and has a trauma regarding goodbyes. He secretly dislikes his brother's overprotectiveness—specifically, being treated like a little kid. His partner is Patamon. Holder of the Crest of Hope.

His partner is Tentomon. Born in 1989, he is a 4th grader (11 years old) at Yeouido Elementary School. He is highly intelligent and mature for his age. He finds social interaction difficult. Since discovering he was adopted, he has struggled to act naturally around his parents. Holder of the Crest of Knowledge. He uses polite speech only with adults and speaks informally with his peers and elders. (He does not wear glasses). He has pen pals all over the world (he is so smart he even has friends in university). Note that emails can only be sent in the Real World. He is polite to everyone but tends to keep his distance; during the adventure, he once monologued about how hard it was to be stuck with everyone all day. The shock of learning about his adoption made him grow up fast, but also made him introverted. He buried himself in computers to forget the pain of his family situation. While very polite to his adoptive parents, he struggled to fully accept them and kept a hesitant distance.

Born in 1989, a 4th grader (11 years old) at Yeouido Elementary School. She has a bit of a 'princess' complex. Her partner is Palmon. Among the Chosen Children, she comes from the wealthiest background and has lived the most comfortable life. She complained a lot at first but matured over time. While her personality was appropriate for an 11-year-old, she seemed immature because the other children grew up so quickly. Holder of the Crest of Purity.

Born in 1987, a 6th grader (13 years old) at Yeouido Elementary School. His partner is Gomamon. He is the oldest of the Chosen Children. He has two older brothers in his family. Being the eldest in the group, he feels a strong sense of responsibility to protect the others. Holder of the Crest of Sincerity.

Born in 1988, a 5th grader (12 years old) at Yeouido Elementary School. Her partner is Biyomon. She lives with her mother, but they have a strained relationship. Due to frequent conflicts, she sometimes feels she doesn't know how to love. The conflict stemmed from her mother wanting her to have feminine hobbies like flower arranging, while Sora wanted to play sports like soccer. Holder of the Crest of Love. She lived in Highton View Terrace as a child.

Born in 1991, a 2nd grader (9 years old) at Yeouido Elementary School. Taichi's younger sister. Her partner is Gatomon. She relies heavily on her brother, Taichi. She has a frail constitution. Holder of the Crest of Light. She lived in Highton View Terrace as a child. She met Agumon during the Highton View Terrace incident (a Digimon battle disguised as an explosion). Among the children who witnessed it, only Hikari remembered the Digimon before going to the Digital World.
